Ideal Clients

Mike typically works with people who want to improve their health, strength, confidence, and quality of life, but need a realistic plan that fits into their current season of life.

Many of Mike’s clients are busy parents, working adults, beginners, or people who have struggled to stay consistent with fitness and nutrition in the past. He also works with clients who are coming back from injury, dealing with aches and pains, using GLP-1 medications, navigating weight loss, rebuilding strength, or trying to create healthier routines without extreme dieting or unsustainable workout plans.

Mike’s ideal client is someone who wants coaching, not just workouts. They may feel overwhelmed, out of shape, inconsistent, or unsure where to start, but they are ready to build better habits with structure, accountability, and support. He enjoys working with people who want to get stronger, move better, improve their nutrition, feel more confident, and create a lifestyle they can maintain long-term.

BIO

Mike Kelley is the founder of Next-Door Coaching, a fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle coaching business based out of PEX in Westwood, Massachusetts. With over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry, Mike helps clients build strength, improve mobility, create sustainable nutrition habits, and develop a healthier lifestyle that actually fits their real life.

Mike’s coaching style is practical, supportive, and highly individualized. He believes fitness should make people feel more capable, confident, and resilient — not overwhelmed or defeated. His approach blends strength training, mobility work, recovery, nutrition coaching, and accountability to help clients create long-term change without relying on extremes, quick fixes, or all-or-nothing thinking.

Mike has a degree in Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry, giving him a strong foundation in human physiology, health, and behavior change. He has worked with a wide range of clients, including busy parents, beginners, athletes, older adults, clients returning from injury, individuals using GLP-1 medications, people navigating weight loss, and those simply looking to move better and feel stronger.

Through Next-Door Coaching, Mike’s mission is to provide real support, lasting change, and coaching that meets people where they are — while helping them move toward where they want to be.
